Finca Parera – Biodynamic Pioneers of Penedès
Nestled in the heart of Penedès Montserratí, Finca Parera is a fourth-generation family farm led by the visionary Rubén Parera. A trailblazer in organic and biodynamic viticulture, the winery spans 22 hectares of vineyards, olive groves, fruit trees, and meadows, all worked with deep respect for nature and ancestral agricultural methods.
The Mediterranean climate and calcareous clay soils of Sant Llorenç d’Hortons allow Finca Parera to produce wines that are pure expressions of terroir. Certified organic by the CCPAE and biodynamic by Demeter, the estate is committed to minimal intervention in the vineyard and cellar—no sulfites, additives, or filtration. Their focus lies on preserving autochthonous varieties like Xarel·lo, Sumoll, and Garnacha, crafting wines that brim with vitality, complexity, and authenticity.
Rubén, an agricultural engineer and winemaker with over 20 vintages of experience, combines traditional knowledge with modern intuition. His wines reflect the full potential of the land—fresh, drinkable, and deeply connected to the region's rich winemaking history.
